Aaron Long was judged to have interfered with Atlanta goalkeeper Brad Guzan on his second-chance header. Atlanta United are headed to the MLS Cup, advancing past the New York Red Bulls 3-1 on aggregate despite losing the second leg 1-0 on Thursday night.
Following a 3-0 win at home in the first leg, Atlanta knew anything but a monumental collapse would see the second-year club into MLS' showcase final.
